Spa Manager

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe · Rancho Santa Fe, California

$87,500–97,500 per year

full-time

About the hotel

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is a cherished historic property in the exclusive enclave of Rancho Santa Fe, California — one of the most discreet and affluent communities on the Southern California coast. A beloved retreat since 1923, the inn combines the warmth of an intimate country estate with the refinement expected by its discerning guests. Set within 22 acres of immaculate grounds, it offers a quiet, unhurried alternative to the larger resorts of nearby La Jolla and the San Diego coast.

The work

  • Lead all day-to-day operations of the spa — including staff scheduling, treatment quality oversight, retail management and financial performance
  • Develop and maintain spa programming and treatment menus that reflect the inn's positioning as a restorative, character-rich retreat
  • Recruit, train and develop a team of skilled therapists and spa support staff to deliver consistent, personalised service to each guest
  • Manage the spa P&L including revenue targets, cost control, inventory and retail sales strategy
  • Build relationships with hotel guests to drive spa revenue through personalised outreach, pre-arrival booking and in-house programming

This role is for you if…

  • You have a proven track record managing a luxury spa team and its financials, ideally within a boutique hotel or destination resort
  • You understand that spa management is as much about leadership and business as it is about treatments and wellness philosophy
  • Southern California living — and the relaxed, high-standard lifestyle of Rancho Santa Fe — genuinely appeals to you
  • You bring a warm, intuitive approach to both guests and team members, creating an atmosphere of calm, trust and excellence

This role might not be for you if…

  • You're still building your management experience and haven't yet overseen a spa team or P&L independently
  • The financial side of spa operations — budgeting, retail targets, reporting — isn't yet your comfort zone
  • You're looking for a role in a large, multi-outlet resort rather than an intimate, character-rich historic inn
