About the hotel

THE PIG on the beach is an Edwardian villa perched above Studland Bay in Dorset, with 23 rooms and sweeping views across to the Isle of Wight. It's the original PIG-by-the-sea — the same unfussy, ingredient-led philosophy that runs through the whole group, just with salt air, sandy feet and one of the most spectacular coastal settings in England thrown in for good measure.

The work

  • Support the Bar Manager in running the full bar operation at THE PIG on the beach, serving hotel guests, day visitors and private events across a busy coastal property.
  • Help develop and refresh the drinks menu with a focus on local craft producers, foraged botanicals and seasonal ingredients that reflect the Dorset landscape.
  • Lead bar shifts with confidence and warmth, inspiring the team to deliver the kind of relaxed, genuine hospitality THE PIG is known for.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, cellar management and licensing compliance to the highest standard.
  • Step up and run the bar operation independently in the Bar Manager's absence.

  • You're a personable, confident leader who connects with guests naturally and makes every interaction feel effortless.

  • You prefer a purely cocktail-focused city bar environment over a seasonal hotel bar serving all-day, all-comers hospitality.
  • You're not yet ready or willing to manage a bar team independently when the manager is absent.
