The work

  • Oversee all housekeeping operations across 143 guest rooms and public areas of the hotel
  • Schedule and manage room attendants, lobby staff, and laundry teams to meet daily productivity targets
  • Monitor and maintain housekeeping quality and cleanliness standards, targeting mystery shop scores above 90%
  • Manage daily laundry operations, linen inventory and equipment maintenance
  • Lead daily standups and monthly departmental meetings
  • Ensure compliance with all cleaning SOPs, health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Implement and update SOPs as part of the hotel's pre-opening and operational set-up
  • Plan and execute monthly deep-clean programmes for all areas of the hotel

This role is for you if…

  • You have proven Director-level or senior Executive Housekeeper experience in a boutique or luxury hotel
  • You are highly organised, process-driven and comfortable setting up housekeeping systems from scratch
  • You thrive in a pre-opening or newly launched environment where you can shape the department
  • You are a confident people leader who motivates teams to consistently exceed high standards
  • You are proficient in hotel management systems and are comfortable with productivity reporting

This role might not be for you if…

  • You prefer a well-established housekeeping operation with fully formed processes
  • You are not comfortable working AM shifts daily or adapting your schedule based on hotel occupancy
  • You have limited experience managing large housekeeping teams across multiple floors
  • You would not enjoy the pace and intensity of a hotel in its opening phase
