About the hotel

Lainston House is a 17th-century country house hotel set in 63 acres of Hampshire parkland on a tree-lined drive just outside Winchester. The work

• • Deliver a warm and personal welcome to every arriving guest
• • Carry bags, escort guests to rooms and orient them to the property
• • Support reception with check-in, check-out and concierge enquiries
• • Drive and valet guest cars between the drive, courtyard and overflow parking
• • Manage room moves, deliveries and amenities to a 5-star standard
• • Liaise closely with Housekeeping on room readiness and VIP set-ups
• • Anticipate guest needs across spa, dining and cookery school bookings
• • Maintain immaculate front-of-house presentation throughout shift
• • Build genuine repeat-guest relationships across visits
• • Represent Lainston House as a polished ambassador on the drive and in the lobby

This role is for you if…

• • You have front-of-house, porter, concierge or guest services experience
• • You hold a clean, full UK driving licence
• • You are warm, attentive and naturally service-driven
• • You take real pride in personal presentation and standards
• • You enjoy a country house environment with weddings and events

This role might not be for you if…

• • You prefer back-of-house or purely administrative roles
• • You are not available for weekends, evenings or bank holidays
• • You are uncomfortable with physical lifting and being on your feet all day
• • You prefer a city-centre business hotel environment
